Bailey Lares: Class M1 and M2 are permits that allow me to ride with certain restrictions right (no driving at night, freeway, etc)? So in order to get the actual license, I have to hold the permits for 6 months?

Dionna Doyel: here in california you need to get your regular drivers license before you can get the m1 or m2 endorsement. to be able to ride either one of the bikes you asked about you will need the m1 endorsement. you need to be 15&a half to get your provisional permit. go to dmv.ca.gov for more info.
