When I completed B.E and chosen computer networking field at that time, most of my colleague said " Zahid, what are you doing, as B.E you shouldn't go there " but I believe on stick to what I have decided once. I started my career as telecom engineer in a small company. It's 6 years now I am earning highest if compared to my colleagues who went in software side and asked me not to go in networking. You can earn good money in this field as well. The problem you may face at starting that you may not get good break in core networking (WAN) side. Start whatever you get from and then parallelly enhance your knowledge of interested field. You will g! et opportunity. 2009 may be a tough (if not very tough) years ! for freashers but do not get discouraged, 2010 will be yours.
