Dana Russian: I'm with Uncle Penny. What needs remodeling (abolished) are gun free zones. Gun free zones make sitting ducks out of law abiding citizens, especially children.@Uncle. Exactly!...Show more
Kalyn Proietto: I agree. Here's my proposed remodeling:"The right of the people to purchase, own and use weapons and ammunition suitable for the defense of self, family and community is guaranteed. Government, at all levels, is prohibited from regulating, licensing or taxing this right, or the weapons and ammunition."What do you think?@Ruby - Gun Free Zone = Free Fire Zone...Show more
Garrett Detone: There is nothing at all that you can do to stop violence and criminals. What's the point in changing laws, when criminals don't follow laws? We tired to ban alcohol, it didn't work. Tried banning drugs, it hasn't worked. We added all kinds of gun laws to combat shootings, hasn't worked.
Sonya Volcko: No! Congress can ,nor would they ask the states, to repeal the 2nd Amendment..forget it. There are limitations on who can legally purchase certain weapons. There are laws concerning the the purchase of fully automatic weapons. I can't get one, nor can you. A common "catch phrase" with congress people and political pundits is either "semi-automatic" and/or "assualt rifle". I have a revolver, circa 1965,six shot, every time I pull the trigger it expends a slug, ergo it's a semi-automatic weapon, same as the guy in Conn. He has an "assualt" rifle. I have a Winchester 30/30 , a popular hunting rifle, and can wreak as much carnage as did he.Limit ammo capacity..o.k. won't change things, but if it makes you feel better, go ahead....Show more
