Vegans!!! Can they eat...?

Gregg Hagge: that does come from a chicken and technically is not vegan but lacto ovo vegetarians eat eggs. Perhaps that is better for youat this point in time. Its your life. If you want to eat them go ahead, there is no vegan cheif that is going to cut your head off for eating eggs while "being vegan". there is no set rules. and there is no cruelty to the chickens so its not horrible.o wait i just meant about the chickens you had. free ranged eggs taht you buy in the store - those chickens are stull not treated fairly , they are not liek your chickens. they are debeaked and in a room with a million other chickens.also there are vegan options in normal grocery stores, like vegan veggie burgers. you don't have to go to a special like health food store, just fyi....Show more

Julee Lanham: no. idthink vegans can eat anything that comes form an animal (including a chicken's eggs-fertilized or not). think of wat other vegans would do if they wer in ur shoes.... would th! ey eat the eggs, or not??

Jonathon Labonne: I think a strict vegan wouldn't eat any eggs but some vegans would simply avoid meat and dairy so eat the eggs. It is up to you what you eat; you know the chickens are happy; nobody decides what you eat except you.

Avis Brantner: No, vegans don't eat eggs period. If they did, they simply wouldn't be vegan. I am vegan and wouldn't eat your eggs because I've made a conscious decision not to, but I can recognize that taking eggs from one's own chicken is a far cry from commercial eggs. My question would be, though, what happens to your chickens when they stop laying? Are they still treasured companion animals, or do you slaughter them or sell them to slaughter? If you're comfortable with those eggs and feel that you're not contributing to cruelty by eating them, then isn't being an ovo-vegetarian who only eats her own eggs just as meaningful to you as the vegan label would be?You don't need stuff from actual vegan s! tores. Vegan convenience foods are just that: a convenience. ! Look instead to whole foods: legumes, grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, all of which are naturally vegan and not more expensive because of it. They also happen to be the healthiest foods you can eat....Show more

Leisa Brodnex: No, veg@ns won't eat eggs even if they're from free-range farms. Just because the chicken is treated good doesn't mean they should have to serve humans with their eggs.

Madie Strople: Cage free/free range chickens really aren't treated any better.

Armanda Hertel: vegan ont eat anything that comes from an animal if you did your an vegetarian not a vegan

Bernie Cerra: no b/c it comes from the animal itself. Same thing with dairy, no dairy at all as it comes from an animal. That does include ice cream. Had a hard core vegan friend that said ice cream didnt count even though it had milk in it.

Christopher Calcano: nnonononoooo if it came from an animal, was processed with animal products, its not vegan. free range! chickens are still animals. plus there is no law stating what "free range" is. to some free range could mean just an open window in the factory. free range is a joke, and those chickens arent happy, i assure you :-)for more info on young vegan/vegetariansi suggest you start here:http://kidshealth.org/teen/food_fitness/nutrition/......Show more

Von Houskeeper: Nope. Vegans eat NOTHING that comes from animals, milk, eggs, cheese, beeswax, honey etc etc. Vegetarians can though :)

Barton Sease: Free range is a myth. The chickens are kept in big sheds instead of battery cages. It's no better. AND vegans cannot eat any animal product no matter what it's called. No.

Efren Clankscales: My mother has been a vegan for about 30 years and she does not eat anything that comes from animals regardless of how the animal was raised. Vegetarians can eat eggs and dairy products but vegans can not.

Paul Maymi: If you decide to eat eggs, then you will be conside! red an ovo vegetarian, not a vegan. Eggs are not healthy for humans, it! is a proven "killer". http://hubpages.com/hub/Seven-or-more-eggs-a-week-...They are high in cholesterol, which we make all we need in our body. And the have the wrong kind of fats. Eat less processed foods instead of the fake meat and cheese. The stuff thats expensive is the pre-made stuff, not the grains, nuts, seeds, beans, veggies and fruits....Show more
