Queenie Ruthers: Collecting is fine, but it doesn't give you anything to DO. Why not volunteer? There's no cost, and you get to help someone. Your school guidance counselor will know about opportunities, or you can call the local YMCA daycare, animal shelter, library, hospital, or the park & recreation program in your town..

Esmeralda Pigram: I think Jenny's got the right idea - you don't necessarily need a hobby as such but if you want to fill your time why not do something that's going to help you in life. Now, I've got no idea what stage of life you're at but maybe learning an instrument like keyboards or guitar? Just think: learn a couple of chords, get a few friends together on You tube and Hey presto! You could be the next Lily Allen!Other than that a hobby that actually costs nothing is walking...O.K. don't laugh before you consider the benefits... Think about it - it's inexpensive, you get fresh air AND you get fit AND look good to boot! How about if you donate some time to your local library or participate in some local literacr programs since you like reading. It is a great way to kill sometime, and you will feel good about your self. Or animals.... if you like them, donate sometime to the local vet.Or excercise... it's healthy and has a lifelong benefit.

You can make your own clothing and hats, scarfs, ext.There is a kit that is very easy called I can crochet you can find at walmart. It has everything you need to get started but the yarn and instructions for leftys and right handed people.
