Mitzie Clough: You must have a university degree to teach in all states in the US. Also you need a teaching credential to teach in the state. Each state has specific requirements for their credential. Your degree will count in all states, but you would have to meet the education requirements which you might already have, but the state would check your transcripts to she what you have studied. In some of the larger states including New York and California it takes an extra year of university to get the credential. Your best bet is to check with the state that you are thinking of moving to. Once you make that choice you need to check the state requirements. Right now it is very difficult to get a teaching position in the US, but you indicate that you are young so it may have changed by the time you are ready. Good Luck!...Show more
