Easter gift for preschool teacher ?

Barton Slisz: Picture frames that your son could help decorate.

Delmy Varano: I'd Get Them Some Sort Of Easter Basket Full Of Soaps And Shampoo's That Way They Can Relax After Screaming Kids !!

Davina Shindler: Child guidance and food refers to how you will handle children and food. Basically, you need to state that you will offer a variety of nutritious food to the children, and if they choose not to eat them then they will NOT be punished for that. No timeouts, criticizing, etc. Just offer it and if they eat then they eat. If not then they don't. I believe that you will be asked at a different time for menus. Good Luck!

Ardelia Liptow: This is something I have to include in the policy, but not sure what they mean. I live in Wisconsin and the children are toddlers. I am trying to get a Center license. Child guidance and food, is under the nutrition part. Thanks.

Jonelle Eligio: You could get them something like a 10 dollar gift card to sta! rbucks, or you could get them somthing for bath and body works. Just think, if you were a teacher what would you like to get as a present. Year end gift you could see if the other mothers want to pool in money to get a really nice gift.

Tricia Dossous: www.salaries.com

Toby Caswell: i've found that children love putting a gift together just as much as they love to give a gift.Get 3 small, inexpensive baskets and fill them with little things, it could be chocolates or easter candy, lotion, etc. have your preschooler put together the basket, it may not look eyecatching but the pride he will have is priceless

Leif Serabia: I think al lot depends upon how long the teachers have been teaching. After so many years, you truly have enough "Teacher" coffee mugs, plaques, etc. I always enjoy something that reminds me of the child - a picture they draw with so! mething they remember about my class or a funny incident that ! reminds them of me as a teacher. If you have been in the class during the school year for a party or special event and have taken some photos, that would be thoughtful too, especially with your child's signature. As always, if you are in a bind, we always appreciate gift certificates to bookstores (and coffee!) We DO have a life outside the classroom and I like that parents acknowledge that too....Show more

Barton Morfee: Observe a class. If they won't let you observe a class in progress, find another preschool. if they will let you observe, watch for cleanliness, availability of age-appropriate materials for the children to use, adequate numbers of teachers for the children enrolled (for this age-range, there should probably be about 1 adult for every 6 children), and staff/child interaction. Both children and staff should appear to be happy and actively engaged. Children should have time to play independently and time to interact with adults. Talk with the st! aff and ask them about the schedule and the activities. There should be some time every day for the children to play outside, and at this age, there should not be a lot of structured, organized group activities. The children should have plenty of time to explore and use the materials independently, with adults there to supervise, support and interact. Language is very important at this age, so the children should be exposed to lots of music and appropriate conversation. Staff should be talking to and with the children all the time! Trust your instincts. If something seems innappropriate, check into another program in your area.

Darren Heling: there's a pretty cool selection from onlinecatch.ispeedway.com that make great teacher easter gifts. Just a thought

Delmer Pectol: Potted flowers or herbs that can be sat on a window ledge or bath stuff. As a teacher myself I can honestly say PLEASE NO CHOCOLATES!!Teachers are inundated with chocolates and although t! hey are lovely you really do need to watch the waist line sometimes. Her! bs and flowers are a gift that keep giving.

Charline Granes: -gift certificate - coffee place, movies, spa, book store, restaurant-homemade card-chocolates (easter)

Von Houskeeper: As a preschool teacher myself, I can honestly say anything but chocolate. Well, maybe that's just because I don't like chocolate, but I don't enjoy when my students give me food. A giftcard or something like that would be better!

Dana Russian: Chocolate or a gift certificate to a book store or homemade cookies.

Mark Hovanes: Get them some live spring flowers: forced bulbs. I'm pretty sure they can then plant the bulbs at home later. My favourite gift I gave dd's preschool teachers at the end of the year was a sunflower in a pot with a note that said "Thanks for helping me grow." They could plant that outdoors, too.

Janeen Perona: I would look for a kindercare... Or at least someone who's licensed through DCFS!!

Sheron Perrez: My sister is sending my 18 month o! ld niece here and we would like to know if anyone has used this center. I only found one review on the internet and its not good. We want to know if they take good care of the children? What types of activities they do? Basically a review from teachers who work there or a parent whose child goes there?

Ardelia Liptow: Easter Gifts For Teachers

Luther Plagmann: I think anywhere from $13 - $20 per hour depending on your experience, education, and where you live.
