Bryan Avinger: Depends on who is making that statement, lol I happen to feel that art is an expression the same is writing a book. A "professional type" person will tell you the wrongs and rights of everything in life. It is up to the individual to lea! rn and "make it their own". A friend told me once that her brother had a natural talent in drawing. He always loved it and was gifted. Then he started taking all these classes and they taught him a different style. She said that it ruined his technique or she thought so. I never saw his work so I couldn't say.A have loved art all my life. You could say I am self-taught.
